Hold the world still.
Early cuts changed the robot's scale, platform and lighting. An actual frame from the approved reveal became the reference for the new approach and climb.
AN ANIMATED SHORT · A SCENARIO EXPERIMENT
A forgotten laboratory.
A curious girl. A first hello.
01 / THE FILM
Follow her from the forest to the cockpit. A 52-second exploration, assembled from individually directed shots.
Sound on for footsteps, hinges and room ambience. No dialogue. Download the film ↓
02 / BEFORE THE FIRST FRAME
The girl, the mecha and its glass canopy came in as 3D models. Blender made their scale, camera positions and key actions tangible.

THE STAGING STUDY
The 3D preview planned the approach, contact and canopy opening. Its rough movement was a staging guide; the final animation needed natural steps, weight and expression.
Later exterior and interior inserts were built from image references. They did not each receive a new 3D preview.
03 / FROM BLOCKING TO ATMOSPHERE
Slide between the planning view and the finished scene. This is a staging comparison, not a pixel-aligned render pass.

04 / GIVE EVERY SHOT A REASON
Storyboards established the beats. Image edits then helped repair continuity before the frames went back into video generation.
Early cuts changed the robot's scale, platform and lighting. An actual frame from the approved reveal became the reference for the new approach and climb.
Broken glass and an inconsistent lid carried into the animation. Corrected closed, open and seated frames gave the canopy sequence a clearer structure.
A new exterior introduction and an interior reverse shot connected the forest, doorway and dark room. Repeated entry and settling motions were trimmed.

05 / ANOTHER POINT OF VIEW
The wide shot tells us how small she is. The reverse angle lets us meet her. Choose a camera and play the six-second study.
