Wish You Were Here

Lofoten, Norway

Somewhere in the north, one window is still lit.

How it's made

Six photographs, each inside the last.

Every frame was generated on Scenario through Scenario MCP. Each photograph sits inside the one before it, and the last one holds the first.

  1. Two hands by a desert campfire hold up a print of a snowy fjord

    1Painted outwards

GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst made a first fjord. Scenario Reframe then painted wider and wider scenes around it: hands holding it as a print by a campfire, the postcard on a kitchen wall, the kitchen behind a frosted window, the wide fjord.

  2. The hamlet, with the square in its middle that became the next photograph outlined

2Closer views, grown from the middle

Magnific Upscaler Creative enlarged the middle of the fjord four times into the hamlet, and the middle of the hamlet into her cottage, inventing real detail. Each photograph is its parent's centre, only sharper, so one melts into the next.

  3. The kitchen, seen through the cottage's window

    3Frames close the loop

The kitchen sits in the cottage window, the desert in the postcard, and the wide fjord in the print in his hands. A frame hides every edge, and the last photograph holds the first, so the zoom has no last frame.
