FROM A SENTENCE TO A RUNNING VILLAGE

Small worlds.
Real craft.

Eight stylized props. Each began as a sentence, became a 3D model with hundreds of thousands of triangles, and was rebuilt into a game-ready asset that runs live in Unity.

THE FILM / 2:34

One idea. Seven models. One village.

The whole process in two and a half minutes, with narration and captions: concept art, a 3D model per picture, a low poly rebuild, rigging and animation, then the scene assembled in Unity with every triangle counted live.

Read the narration

Eight props. Each one started as a sentence. Every one came from Scenario models, and they run live in Unity.

First, concept art. GPT Image draws each prop from a prompt. A cottage. A windmill. A scooter.

Meshy turns each picture into a 3D model, with every detail. The cottage is about eight hundred thirty-five thousand triangles. Far too heavy for a game.

So Opus 5.5 3D rebuilds it from a brief. Keep the silhouette. Bake the detail into the textures. Four thousand nine hundred ninety triangles. Same cottage.

The windmill. The scooter body. The wheelbarrow body. The dwarf's head. The helmet. Hundreds of thousands of triangles collapse, and the picture barely changes.

And the same models that optimized the meshes also rigged and animated them. Opus split the windmill rotor from the tower, set its origin on the shaft, and baked an eight second turn. It split the scooter into a body and a steering assembly, pivoting on the real inclined axis. The wheels are their own parts.

Now the crate. The high poly version has almost six hundred thousand triangles. The low poly version has three hundred seventy-two, and keeps the wood and the rivets. Its wireframe shows how little geometry that is. And GPT-6 Astra 3D made a breakable version too: hollow, in twenty-six pieces, with real rigid body physics baked into keyframes. So it breaks the same way every time.

Opus also gave the helmet an emissive lamp. In a dark studio, it flickers on, switches off, then flickers on again.

The dwarf is a skinned character. His new head came through the same chain, in about six thousand triangles. His eyes move on their own. The helmet comes off, and the pickaxe leaves his hand.

Then Unity, where the scene is assembled. A skybox model made the sky. Generated textures made the grass and the road, and PATINA made their normal maps. Two more models made the trees. Every triangle in the scene is counted live.

One idea. Seven models. One village, running in Unity.

HOW EACH PROP WAS MADE

Five steps, seven models.

  1. 01 / PICTURE

    Concept art

  2. 02 / DETAIL

    A model per picture

Meshy 7.1 turns each image into a fully textured 3D model, with remeshing off, so every detail survives.

    Rebuilt for a game

Claude Opus 5.5 3D rebuilds the mesh from a brief: keep the silhouette, bake the detail into the textures.

  4. 04 / MOTION

    Parts that move

Rotors, steering and wheels become their own parts. GPT-6 Astra 3D made the crate that breaks into 26 pieces.

EIGHT PROPS / RENDERED IN UNITY

Textures first. Then the geometry.

Each loop starts with the finished prop, then a wireframe scans up the model so you can see where every triangle went.

Cottage

834,978 → 4,990 triangles

Roof tile relief, stonework and timber frame stay readable. The detail lives in the textures.

Windmill

961,272 → 19,934 triangles

The rotor is its own part with its origin on the shaft, so it turns while the tower stays still.

Scooter

9,856 triangles in separate parts

A body, a steering assembly that pivots on the real inclined axis, and two independent wheels.

Wheelbarrow

Body 340,900 → 524 triangles

A wooden body with open walls, and a wheel that is its own part on a real axle.

Crate

595,340 → 372 triangles

About 1,600 times fewer triangles, with the wood grain and rivets kept. A hollow 26-piece version breaks on cue.

Helmet

399,914 → 2,980 triangles

A painted dome, leather band and a lamp lens with its own emissive material.

Dwarf

21,323 skinned triangles

A rigged character. His head went from 631,154 triangles to 6,891 with the eyes included.

Pickaxe

696 triangles

A strong silhouette and a textured handle, separate from the dwarf so it can leave his hand.

SAME CAMERA, SAME LIGHT

Hundreds of thousands of triangles. The picture barely changes.

Both meshes are the real files, rendered from the same angles. Drag the line to compare, drag the picture to turn the model.

RIGGED AND ANIMATED

Parts that move on cue.

THE LAMP

On, off, on again.

The lens carries an emissive material, so in a dark studio it lights the brim and the shell around it.

THE DWARF

Eyes, helmet, pickaxe.

His eyes move on their own, the helmet comes off and the pickaxe leaves his hand. The right-hand glove was generated separately with GPT Image 2.5 and Meshy 7.1 (3,096 triangles) and attached to the rig.

THE CRATE

26 pieces, the same break every time.

GPT-6 Astra 3D made the hollow crate in 26 pieces, 4,116 triangles in all. A physics simulation was run once and baked into keyframes, so the break is identical every time and nothing simulates at runtime.

THE WINDMILL

A baked 8 second turn.

The rotor was split from the tower with its origin on the shaft, then keyed for a full 360 degree turn.

Orbit the props that move.

Six of the props run here as real GLB files. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom, switch on the wireframe and play the motion. The scooter and the dwarf are shown from Unity above, where their rigs were finished.
