It offered significant upgrades from Kling 2.0 in motion control and character consistency, serving as a versatile workhorse for general-purpose video generation. It lacks the specialized frame control of 2.1 Pro or the advanced motion of 2.1 Master. As a mid-2025 release, it has been superseded by the faster and more cost-effective 2.5 series for most production workflows.
