FAQ

Common questions

Credits & billing

How do credits work?+

Credits are Scenario’s generation currency. Every image, video, 3D mesh, or model training run consumes a certain number depending on the model and output settings you choose. Higher-resolution outputs and premium models cost more credits than lighter ones. You can always check credit costs per model directly in the generator before you run.

What happens when I run out of credits?+

Generation stops until your credits are topped up. You can either purchase a credit add-on instantly from your billing page, or wait for your monthly reset at the start of your next billing cycle. Credits don’t roll over, so if you’re consistently hitting the limit, upgrading your plan is usually the better value.

Is there a free trial? Do I need a credit card?+

Yes, all paid plans come with a free trial and no credit card is required. There’s also a free tier with 50 credits so you can explore image generation and public models before committing to anything.

Can I switch or cancel my plan at any time?+

Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your account settings. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

Does annual billing really save money?+

Yes, annual plans are 33% cheaper than paying month-to-month. You’re billed once upfront and your credits are available immediately for the full year. It’s the best option if Scenario is part of your regular production pipeline.

Models & training

What is a model, and do I need to train one?+

A model is the AI engine that defines the visual style of your outputs. Think of it as a style preset that actually understands your art direction. You don’t have to train one: Scenario includes a library of foundation models from Flux, GPT, Seedance, and others that work out of the box. But if you want outputs that are consistent with your game’s specific look, training a custom model on your own assets is where Scenario really shines.

How do I train a custom model?+

Upload 10 to 30 images for a style, or 5 to 15 for a specific character or object (1024×1024 works best). Scenario handles the rest and training typically takes 30 minutes to a few hours. Once done, test it with reference images and iterate. You can also merge models with Multi-LoRA to combine styles and subjects in a single generation.

Are my models and generations private?+

Yes, everything is private to your organization by default. Scenario is SOC 2 Type II certified, and your data is never used to train Scenario’s models or shared with third parties. Generations, trained models, and uploaded assets are only accessible to your team.

Outputs & licensing

Can I use generated assets commercially, in a shipped game or for clients?+

Yes. All paid plans include a full commercial license. You own what you create: you can use, modify, and ship assets in games, sell them, or deliver them to clients without paying royalties. Free plan outputs are for personal and evaluation use only.

What file formats and asset types does Scenario support?+

Scenario supports a wide range of formats: 2D images (PNG, JPEG, WebP, SVG), videos (MP4, MOV, WebM, GIF), audio (WAV, MP3), and 3D meshes (GLB, OBJ, FBX, STL, VOX) with PBR textures ready to import into Unity, Unreal, or any standard pipeline. The built-in 3D viewer lets you inspect meshes before exporting. New formats are added regularly as we expand our model and tool offerings.

Can Scenario connect to my game engine or existing pipeline?+

Yes. Scenario is API-first. You can integrate it directly into Unity, Unreal, or custom pipelines, automate batch generation, and deploy custom models to your team or players for user-generated content. Full API docs are at docs.scenario.com.
