Using the Pixelate Feature

Pixelate your images quickly and with style using our pixelate feature.

GenAI latent diffusion models do not naturally output pixel grids. That's why we've enabled our pixelate tool so that you can easily create pixelated versions of your image outputs.

Step 1: Open Your Image in the Pixelate Tool

Pick the image you would like to pixelate by selecting it in your image gallery or inference window. On the right hand side in the info bar you can select pixelate from the edit tab.

You can also click Pixelate on the left hand Navigation Bar and load any image from your hard disk or clipboard or select one from your Scenario library.

Step 2: Adjust Your Pixelate Options

You will see a number of options to select when pixelating. Below we have outlined the various settings.

Custom Color Palette

Users are given the choice to either use the predetermined color palette based on their original image, or set a color palette. You can create, save, and reload custom color palettes, allowing you to stay true to the color palette constraints in a given game design.

If you toggle to the custom color palette, you can add colors by clicking the "+" button. In color spectrum you can either enter a hex code or adjust the color manually.

Once you are satisfied with your palette, click the floppy disk shaped "save" icon. Your palette will then be saved to the color palette menu which you can visit by clicking the small image icon at the top of the sidebar.

The output will maintain the color palette you have pre-selected.

Adjust Pixel Count

You will see that below the color selector, you can indicate which pixel count you choose. Utilize this chart below to understand how the pixel counts range.

Reduce Noise and Remove Background

Lastly, reduce noise or remove background easily using these additional features. Simply indicate with the toggle switch whether you would like to activate these features.

Note: Removing noise is very helpful in complex images to avoid strange pixel groupings and clean up edges.
